Glass Reinforced Cement
CCP can supply sprayed GRC units which will have the same appearance as reconstituted stone units, but as units are only typically 10mm thick, units are much lighter than their reconstituted stone alternatives. The glass fibre has a tensile strength over three times stronger than steel fibre.
GRC thus provides significant advantages where weight is a critical factor both in terms of its impact on the structural frame but also where access is limited and more lightweight units are required.
CCP also produce poured GRC units which can be typically used as permanent formwork, channels, or as pictured below, pontoon decks filled with expanded polystyrene.
