Concrete is used in a wide range of applications along the coast. In ports and harbours, we find concrete forming the main structural body of quays, either in the form of caissons, blockwork or diaphragm walls structures. Even where other forms of construction are used to form the substructures, concrete is invariably used for the decks of these quays.

Concrete may be used in both its reinforced and mass forms. In many situations, a large mass of material is required either to resist wave forces or to provide adequate foundations for a very substantial ship or crane landings. Concrete has the advantage of being less vulnerable to chloride related corrosion or to the abrasive forces generated from beaches.

CCP have many years experience of manufacturing bespoke products for the civil engineering industry. From the Cardiff Bay Barrage to the Western Jetties refurbishment at the HM Naval Base in Portsmouth, bespoke culverts, dock blocks for ship refits, to GRC floating pontoons as well as numerous sea defence and outfall projects. Whatever your requirements, Cornish Concrete Products Ltd has the capacity and know-how to produce structural precast concrete elements to meet your needs.
