As the demand to build quicker and more cost effectively increases, staircores and lift shafts can have a direct impact on program times. CCP can design, supply and erect all of the necessary components required to prefabricate the core so that time on site is reduced to a minimum. The co-ordination of many trades on site is eliminated as the system removes the need in most cases for scaffolding, blockwork, finishing trades as well as reliance on the weather. This all adds up to reducing programme times by more than 50%.

CCP's Crosswall Construction is the basis used to form the core with lift shaft units, staircases and landings. The lift shaft units are simply placed on top of each other with a dowelled connection between the units and are built up accordingly. Door openings and cast-in channels can be easily accommodated. Any residual floor areas are incorporated within the scheme. If external finishes and insulation are required, this can be incorporated by utilising CCP's "Thermowall" insulated sandwich panels.
